Another walk, this time to Broadway Tower, the second highest spot in the Cotswolds. Why was the tower there? Because it was the "fad" to build a "folly" at the time if you had lots of money, but it subsequently had some useful purposes...including being a house for a land caretaker! We saw more sheep on this walk. Sometimes they are curious about you, and come your way, but other times they run away. Many ewes had lambs, although they looked almost full grown by this time, having probably been born in early spring. You can see we are having good weather - sunshine, but light breezes and never too hot! Also,, notice the photo of the yellow arrow marker, the system used throughout Britain for the public footpaths that are available. Some cross private lands, but as long as they are used, they remain available to all.
